Updated HQ COVID-19 guidance for England – 2nd December 2021
Parents and Carers,
Following an update which we have received from The Scout Association as of the 2nd December 2021, the youth sector moves to the Yellow readiness level.
- Anyone aged 11+ must wear a face covering when indoors, unless they are exempt.
This includes Scouts, Explorers, Leaders (who are not actively leading activities) and visitors to the centre (parents).
For everyone’s safety, we will return to greeting young people at the main gate at the start of the meeting and dismissing them from the main gate at the end of meetings as we see parents. Please can we ask that parents/carers return to waiting outside at the start/end of meetings. Only enter the building if you really need to discuss an issue with the leaders. Everyone will continue to be asked to sanitise hands upon arrival and departure.
Obviously none of us want to see the return of additional measures, however, it is in the best interests of all our safety and hopefully we will be able to avoid having to return to virtual meetings!
We will write again when I receive any further updates or information.
Regards
Denise Bloomfield / Stuart Parker
