Dear Parents and Carers,
Sadly, due to the fact that Suffolk has been placed into Tier 4 restrictions from Saturday 26th December, the readiness level for Scouting in Suffolk will return to Red. This means that no face-to-face Scouting can take place for the time being. This is disappointing but it is for the safety of leaders and young people. Although levels of infection in Suffolk have risen sharply in the last few weeks our levels are still well below the national average; hopefully, this will be a situation that continues.
All sections will try their best to provide an online program for our young people. Section leaders are trying their best to provide a fully online program to provide our young people, we strongly believe by continuing our meetings provides a lot to our families and our young people in this time.
As a group, we are unable to provide fundraisers during these times. We are continually on the lookout for any funding we can find to help provide our group to deliver fun activities for our young people, if you know of any funding, we can apply for please do let us know at fundraisers@18thipswichscouts.org.uk
Christmas will be somewhat different for all of us this year, but times will get better and hopefully we can look forward to a better year in 2021.
