As previously mentioned in our emails, we have moved subscription payments to OSM (Online Scout Manager).
Online Scout Manager (OSM) is a brilliant system that greatly simplifies all of the administrative tasks required to run a Scout group, including membership records, badge records, event organisation and last but not least online payments.
The Direct Debit payments are handled by a company called GoCardless. Setting up an account with GoCardless is very easy and should take no more than a few minutes. In the next couple of days, you will receive an email from OSM/GoCardless with a secure link to invite you to setup a subscription/account.
The system operates in two modes:
• CreateSubscription– your direct debit will automatically be debited when there are payments needed for your child
• Pay Now – you have to approve each payment by logging into the payments area of your parent portal
Whether or not you choose to authorise each payment individually, or subscribe to them all, you will be emailed each time a payment is needed, you will be able to cancel it at any time. All payments are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
The “Subscriptions” schedule will show the payment dates for our group subscription fee which is due at the start of each term. You will also be sent automatic reminders as the due date for payment approaches.
