Group Trip to the Imperial War Musuem Duxford for the whole Group in October and over 60 members took part. This was the final point in two months work in all sections to help members gain the Basic Aviation Badge, and all section programmes have been tailored towards this Group event. We left by coach and minibus for IWM Duxford at 8.30am and after travelling through some very wet weather we arrived as the sun came out. Everyone then had a great day investigating all the hangers and taking part in activities on site. The Cubs and Scouts really enjoyed the Spitfire simulator and found the experience loads of fun. Just before we left the rain returned and we had a wet journey home, but all those who attended enjoyed the trip. Denise Bloomfield, GSL, said “Every young person I spoke to today, told me they were having a great time, and it was nice to be able to come with their friends in the Group. What a great leadership team we have at the 18th and today proved that.

We have already had praise from the staff from Duxford saying that our young people were well behaved and we were a very organised group. That says it all !! Special thanks go to Michael and Stuart for all the organisation.
