Dear all,
I am delighted to let you know that following an extensive and robust search process I have appointed Jane Dickinson to the role of County Commissioner for Suffolk. Jane will almost certainly be known to you in he current role as Deputy County Commissioner for Programme or in one of her previous roles including DCC in Bury St Edmunds and as the Unit Leader for the Suffolk Unit to the last World Scout Jamboree.
Jane is taking of the reins from Jenny Mullan who has given tremendous and dedicated service in the role for well over seven years. I am very grateful to Jen for all she’s done and for agreeing to stay on just that little bit longer whilst we concluded the search process. Jenny and Jane are actively working together to plan handovers.
Jane will officially take up the role on Tuesday 18th April, so until then please refer anything that needs the attention of the CC to Jenny.
Thank you all for your contribution to the search process – especially those on the panel – and I know that you join me in wishing Jane all the very best as she takes on this exciting challenge to lead Suffolk Scouts.
