18th Ipswich Mega Litter Pick

Scout Troop took part in Scout Community Week with 19 Scouts, 6 Leaders and 1 Young Leader by doing a litter pick in Holywells Park, Ipswich which is undergoing major refurbishment works. They assisted the local council by collecting a truck load of litter and raising the community awareness of the Scouts. We were surprised to see how much we found and the variety of the litter, everything from a cycle wheel to paint tins and bottles / cans to a mirror – and many more unusual items like unopened ice creams!! The amount we collected in just one and a half hours was amazing, and we are proud to have been a part of Scout Community Week and will continue to play an active part in our community.
